2002-03 UD Rookie Update serves a dual purpose in the collecting season. As the name suggests it serves as the update product for multiple rookie sets from other Upper Deck releases, including SPx, Sp Authentic, and Classic Portraits. The majority of these update are contained in a 3 card bonus pack included in every hobby box. The majority of the product consists of a completely separate product that offers its own crop of rookies, autographs, and memorabilia cards. Each hobby box offers 1 memorabilia rookie and 3 regular rookies, plus the 3 card bonus pack.
