2024 Update:

Well he had that big bomb homer to start off the career then did hammer out a decent rookie season with 14 homers and 44 RBI but the best stat was his nice 35 stolen bases. We still believe investing in his cards would not be a bad idea, the card below his Bowman Purple Refractor Autograph for example has a good sale history at well over 3,000 USD for a nice graded example. As De La Cruz becomes available in more products and there is more variety and some cooler cards, look for his values to go up, especially if he has a fast start this spring.

 

 

 

First Homer was June 7th 2023 and it was a BOMB.

Topps Releases a Card for Elly De La Cruz’s 3 Stolen Bases in One Plate Appearance.

 

On July 9th 2023 Topps made this card available for sale for $500 USD per copy.

 

Apparently this card had 7 different color variations and that made it a total of 388 copies that sold out on the same day on the Topps website, this was a great move as it made them nearly $200,000 dollars on a card that didn’t even exist at the time and was planned to ship in 4 to 6 weeks. This card has been seen listed on eBay for pre-sale already for over double the cost, another good move from the card flipper community.
